Dr. Erica M. Ramirez (Ph.D., Drew University) is Auburn Seminary’s Director of Applied Research. She is a Senior Fellow of the Louisville Institute. She was the Richard B. Parker Assistant Professor of Wesleyan Thought at Portland Seminary in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Ramirez is a sociologist of religion. She holds the M.A in History of Christianity from Wheaton College and the B.A. in Counseling and Psychology from Southwestern Assemblies of God University. Ramirez has written on evangelicalism and politics for The Washington Post, Religion News Service, and Marginalia, and has contributed scholarly articles to Annual Review of the Sociology of Religion, Canadian Journal of Pentecostal-Charismatic Christianity, and Pneuma: The Journal of the Society for Pentecostal Studies.
