Marco A. Grimaldo is the deputy director of ecclesiastical relations at Bread for the World. Originally from Texas, Marco has been a strong advocate for comprehensive immigration reform and addressing the root causes of migration, most often hunger and poverty. He is also a member of the board of directors of the Virginia Coalition for Immigrant Rights (VACIR), of which he is a founding member. Marco was previously the president and executive director of the Virginia Interfaith Center for Public Policy. Marco attended Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, and later Georgetown University for graduate work in public policy. He is ordained as a ruling elder in the Presbyterian Church (USA) and has served on numerous boards of directors and leadership teams nationwide in the church. Marco now lives in Washington, D.C.
