Juan José Barreda Toscano is Peruvian based in Argentina. He is Bachelor and Master in Theology, Seminario Internacional Teológico Bautista de Buenos Aires. Doctor of Theology, with a specialty in the field of Bible from the Instituto Universitario ISEDET. Bachelor in Educational Technology from the National Technological University (UTN), Argentina. He is pastor of the Iglesia Evangélica Bautista de Constitución, in Buenos Aires. He served for several years as a Continental Connector of the Red del Camino. He is a professor of Sacred Scripture at the Universidad del Centro Educativo Latinoamericano (UCEL-Iglesia Metodista Argentina), where he also works as a Technological Advisor at the Faculty of Theology. In 2010 he founded Bíblica Virtual, a non-formal Contextual Studies Community that develops diplomas and On-Line courses in areas of Sacred Scripture, Pastoral, and Mission. He is the Director and teacher in that Community. He has recently been elected Secretary-General of the Latin American Theological Fraternity. He has directed several books and has written articles in the field of the Bible in Theological Journals. His most recent book is The Community of Qumran and the Two Messiahs. Messianic Hopes in the Dead Sea Texts, published by Ediciones La Aurora, 2020.
