Yara González-Justiniano is a professor of theology. She completed her doctorate in practical theology at the Boston University School of Theology with a concentration on church and society. She also has a master's degree in theology with a concentration in community and global engagement, a bachelor's degree in communications, a modern language minor, and a theater major. Her research interests include Latino and liberation theologies, cultural identity and memory studies, postcolonial and decolonial theory, popular culture, and popular religion. Currently, Dr. González-Justiniano is in the ordination process with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of the New England Region.
