Oscar González earned a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Ecology from the University of Florida, an M.Sc. in Zoology at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (Peru), Master in Management of Tropical Biodiversity at the Universidad San Pablo CEU (Spain) and B.Sc. in Biology at the National Agrarian University La Molina (Peru). Oscar is a member of the American Scientific Affiliation, American Ornithologist Union, Neotropical Ornithological Society, and other scientific societies. He is a member of the advisory board of the BioLogos Foundation and is vice president of the Aves del Peru Group. He investigates topics on tropical ornithology, interactions between plants and animals, conservation, and the positive interaction between science and the Christian faith. Among those publications, a book on birds from Lima, Peru, and another book on the Bible and Science. Currently, he serves as assistant professor of Biology and Ecology at Emmanuel College in Georgia and as vice president of the Aves del Peru Group. As an ecologist and Christian, he draws inspiration from nature's web to worship while teaching Principles of Biology II, Zoology, or Ecology.
